eHaus is an award winning nationwide New Zealand owned and operated business, dedicated to the design and construction of healthy, high performing, and comfortable homes built using the PassivHaus principles. Often referred to as the ‘world’s leading standard in energy efficient design” the German engineering intelligence behind PassivHaus encompasses: – Comfort & Health, Energy efficiency and Quality assurance. The principles centre around 5 key principles. A Mechanical Heat Recovery Ventilation System. Smart and quiet the system maintains the air quality of the home all year round, removes up to 98% of pollutants from the air eliminating condensation and mould. Savings of up to 90% on energy cost can be expected (compared to a code build). The highest levels of insulation for the build, high quality thermally efficient joinery & glazing and the elimination of thermal bridges are standard. All of this combined means, the home requires little to no auxiliary heating or cooling and is quiet, comfortable and extremely healthy to live in. Every build is extensively computer modelled using specialist PHPP (Passive House Planning Package) software, the local climate, date and site orientation while still on the plans, saving the need for costly changes once construction commences. eHaus offer the full design and construction service with qualified Passive House designers and tradespeople to make it easy.
